Wild and Free?

by Sue Samaniego

The image shows the corner of a weathered white building with a door. On one side of the corner, colorfully painted letters spell out the word WILD. On the other side of the corner, similar letters spell out FREE.
The inspiration for the Corner of Wild and Free name.

Why wild and free? The name was inspired by this corner of the lean-to in my back yard. It is the only place I could put both words where they did not blow off or flip in the wind. It spoke to me about the importance of finding your perfect place. Where the authentic you can reside at all times, no matter what forces you face.

Far better to live your own path imperfectly than to live another’s perfectly.

Bhagavad Gita

The words WILD and FREE aren’t often associated with authenticity, but to me, they are strongly related. Authenticity means being true to your own personality, values, feelings, and principles. The you underlying each area of your life remains wild and untamed. You are free from restraint or needing to hide parts of who you are.

If this sounds like the way you live or the way you want to live, you are in the right place! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a single post!
